The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, America's research hospital, is located on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Md. Through clinical research, clinician-investigators translate laboratory discoveries into better treatments, therapies and interventions to improve the nation's health.
The NIH Clinical Center north entrance is a welcoming environment for patients, their families and staff as they arrive to the largest research hospital in America. Just a few steps away, the atrium brings in plenty of natural light and provides seating areas to convene and a space for special events such as musical performances to take place.
In the Special Clinical Studies Unit (SCSU) at the NIH Clinical Center a nurse walks into a patient room. A few items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are also shown on a cart outside the patient room.
