Human Brain Connectome
Doctors at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, seek healthy volunteers to join a research study. Doctors are investigating the energy spent by the brain when you are performing certain tasks as well as resting. Participants will have a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and a positron emission tomography (PET) scan of the brain. Participation involves one screening and two outpatient visits for test and procedures.
You may be eligible if you are:
- At least 18 years old
- In good health
You may not participate if you:
- Are pregnant or breast feeding
- Use certain drugs such as marijuana or cocaine
- Have had a head trauma with a loss of consciousness for more than 30 minutes
- Are not able to have an MRI scan
Location: The NIH Clinical Center, America's research hospital, is conveniently located on the Metro Red Line (Medical Center stop) in Bethesda, Maryland.
