Research Study #001706-I - Join a research study investigating the best-tolerated number of whipworm eggs to give to a healthy adult that results in a whipworm infection. The findings from this study will contribute to the development of new therapies in future research.

Doctors at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are investigating new techniques needed to develop gene therapy or other treatment for certain inherited immune system diseases. If you have an inherited disease that is affecting your blood or bone marrow cell that generate blood cells, you may be eligible to participate in this research study. Participants will be screened with a medical history, physical examination and blood and urine tests.

The NIH is seeking children ages 2 and older with a history of eczema to participate in a study to identify better ways to diagnose food allergies. Participants do not need to have food allergies. Through this study, we hope to improve the ways food allergies are diagnosed and managed in children with eczema. Participants will not be charged for any service offered, including medications, and medical insurance is not required.
