NIH Seeking Participants for a Study on Immune Dysfunction in Menopause

Researchers at The National Institutes of Health (NIH) are conducting a study examining inflammation and metabolic dysfunction in menopause. They are looking for both premenopausal and postmenopausal women to participate in the study.

You May Be Eligible if You

  • Are age 45-58
  • Have periods occurring every 21- 35 days
  • Have no missed periods in the past year OR
  • Have had no period in more than 2 years

What Is Involved

  • Brief office visit at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD
  • Blood draw (requires fasting)
  • Optional adipose tissue biopsy
  • Participants will receive compensation
