Join a remote COVID-19 study using a digital wristband

Researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are recruiting for a COVID-19 study. Patients who are enrolled in the study will receive a digital wristband to wear. The wristband will record physical data such as heart rate. Researchers want to understand how COVID-19 changes patients' bodies and why some patients stay sick longer than others. Devices are free of charge and the study team will be with you every step of the way.

To Be Eligible, You Must

  • Be 18 to 65 years old
  • Have had a positive COVID-19 test in the last 3 days
  • Own a smartphone or a tablet (Android or iPhone)

Study Design

  • Remote study, no in-person visits
  • Your participation is 6 months

In the First Month, You Will

  • Complete a 30-minute initial survey
  • Wear a digital wristband and temperature patch to collect your physical data
  • Answer 2 questions daily

For Months 2 to 6, You Will

  • Wear a digital wristband for 2 days at a time
  • Answer 2 questions after each 2 days of wearing the wristband
  • Answer a 20-minute survey every month
