Calling Females Ages 11–19, Healthy or With Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI)

Are you or someone you know affected by Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI)? POI happens when the ovaries stop working properly in young females, causing lower estrogen levels. It can affect menstrual cycles, bone health, and overall well-being. Dr. Catherine Gordon, MD, MS and her team at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) are researching Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) with estrogen and progesterone which can help reduce symptoms, improve bone health, and support fertility. The goal of this study is to see how HRT treatment can improve the health of people with POI.
