Feeling Depressed, Even After Treatment?

You may qualify for an inpatient research study at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Researchers at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) are studying an investigational drug, HNK, to learn if it can help relieve symptoms of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).

About the Study

  • Ages 18–70
  • Must have MDD
  • Conducted at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD
  • Lasts 12- to 14-week
  • Includes IV infusions, brain scans, and mood assessments
  • One set of infusions will be the study drug (HNK), and one will be a placebo
  • Compensation up to $5,000
