The Health Information Management Department, previously known as Medical Records, celebrated Health Information Professionals Week March 25–29. Various activities were held throughout the week including a presentation on workplace wellness and a dessert table showing appreciation for all those who collaborate with the department. The Health Information Management Department provides health information management services to ensure medical records that are accurately documented in a timely manner, are readily accessible and permit prompt retrieval of data. The department also supports release of medical information services and diagnostic and procedural coding. They provide support for the FollowMyHealth patient portal, which has approximately 20,000 patient users.
