Dr. Marilyn Farinre serves as the Chief of Pharmacy Operations. She is responsible for leadership, management and supervision of the inpatient and outpatient pharmacies that provide pharmaceutical care services to Clinical Center patients.


Dr. Farinre received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Temple University in Philadelphia. Her Doctor of Pharmacy degree is from the University of Florida.

Dr. Farinre joined the NIH Clinical Center Pharmacy in 2018 and assumed leadership of Pharmacy Operations in 2019. She is responsible for outpatient and inpatient pharmaceutical care services with oversight of sterile and non-sterile compounding; medication preparation, repackaging and dispensing; ambulatory infusion care and pharmacy automation systems.

Dr. Farinre has practiced clinically in many different settings including five years as a transplant pharmacist. She enjoys teaching and holds a faculty appointment at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

When not at work, Dr. Farinre enjoys volunteering, running in local races and beach vacations.
