The DC Chamber Musicians (DCCM) is an alliance of musicians at intermediate, advanced, and semi-professional levels who share a passion for chamber music. A program of the DC Concert Orchestra Society (DCCOS), DCCM offers educational and performance opportunities for musicians in established ensembles, as well as resources for individual musicians. DCCM aspires to be the most comprehensive network of nonprofessional chamber musicians in the DC metropolitan region and supports chamber ensembles by providing rehearsal venues, professional coaching, and performance opportunities that encourage musical growth and build diverse audiences. Michael Garrahan, violin , plays viola with the Washington Sinfonietta and chamber music remotely via the internet. He is a volunteer advocate for Save Standard Time. Weather permitting, he enjoys using his telescope to look at distant galaxies, near-Earth asteroids, and various things in between. Mark Stanga, horn , founded Trinity Brass in 2007, which has performed regularly over the last decade across the Washington metropolitan area. When grandchildren arrived a few years ago, he scaled back his consulting work and began to indulge his interest in chamber music, and he now seeks out playing opportunities with other chamber musicians, usually in Washington but sometimes in London or Vienna. Daniel Wasse, piano , moved to Baltimore, MD, from Seattle, WA, in 2017 to join his wife, Helen Tilahun. Daniel holds a bachelor’s in piano performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and he performs and has taught classical piano for over 25 years. This event takes place in the North Atrium.
