Dr. Madeleine Schuyler Deming's clinical interests include preoperative risk assessment and patient safety.

Dr. Deming joined the Internal Medicine Consult Service as a Staff Clinician in 2016, and became the CEP Clerkship Director for the IMCS elective in 2017. In addition to Internal Medicine consults, she is the Chair of the Clinical Information Management Committee, Chair of the PEARLS Project, and a Protocol Resource Impact Assessment (PRIA) analyst.

She obtained her undergraduate degree from Smith College, and her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. She then completed internship, residency, and a chief residency at Tulane University.

Prior to joining the NIH staff in 2016 she was the Medical Director of the Internal Medicine Diagnostic Unit at the VA Hospital in Little Rock.
