Patrick Brooks is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Bioethics. He received his PhD in philosophy from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. There, his work focused on political philosophy and social epistemology with a special focus on institutional trust, populism, and conspiracy theories. At the NIH, he is working primarily on issues connected to public trust and public health as well as how policy-level decision may serve to bolster or undermine institutional trust.
