
Amanda is a postbaccalaureate fellow in the Department of Bioethics. She received her MS in health humanities and bioethics from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and her BA from Augustana College, where she majored in philosophy, sociology, and anthropology. Her previous research focused on clinicians' use of euphemisms in end-of-life care conversations. At the NIH, Amanda will continue her work on clinical communication and explore topics related to death and dying, conceptual ethics, and transparency in healthcare.
