Clinical Center CEO holds Town Hall, honors 41 staff who have served 25 years or more in the federal service

Dr. James K. Gilman, Clinical Center Chief Executive Officer (right) updated Clinical Center employees on hospital initiatives during his quarterly town hall meeting and awarded length-of-service certificates and pins to staff July 24. Pictured, Dr. Francis S. Collins, NIH Director (left) congratulates the Department of Transfusion Medicine Associate Director for Research Dr. Harvey Alter (center) for his 25 years of dedication and commitment. Alter has served the Federal Government for 50 years, 25 of which were with the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. More than 40 staff were formally recognized who, between Jan. 1 and July 31, achieved either 25, 30, 35, or 40 years of federal service.
