Clinical Center holds seminars, information booths on Health Information Technology Day

The 2nd Annual Health Information Technology day was celebrated at the NIH Clinical Center Oct. 5. The event included a presentation by Dr. Andrew Gettinger, chief medical information officer and director of the office of clinical quality and safety for the office of the national coordinator for health information technology at the US Department of Health and Human Services.

Informational booths were displayed in the FAES terrace with educational sessions held in the FAES classrooms. Pictured here, Josanne Revoir (left), Nurse Consultant at the Office of Patient Safety and Clinical Quality at NIH Clinical Center, describes the enhanced features of the recently implemented Safety Tracking and Reporting System (STARS). The system provides constant updates and informs leadership of a variety of safety and quality concern.
