Participants needed for clinical trials to develop new treatments, medications

Do you have asthma? NHLBI is seeking volunteers with asthma for a study. Two outpatient visits and one inpatient stay at the NIH Clinical Center. Compensation may be provided. Study #99-H-0076.

NIAAA researchers are testing if a ketogenic diet will help with the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal and brain function in individuals with alcohol use disorder undergoing treatment of alcohol detoxification at the NIH Clinical Center. Study #17-AA-0152.

NIAAA researchers seek heavy drinkers for a study evaluating alcohol intake and brain function for a study at the NIH Clinical Center. Compensation and travel assistance may be provided. Study #14-AA-0192.

NHLBI researchers need volunteers with Williams Syndrome, supravalvar aortic stenosis, or good health for a study at the NIH Clinical Center to learn how narrow or stiff blood vessels impacts their heart, lungs, gut, kidneys, and the brain. Study-related tests provided at no cost. Compensation and travel assistance may be provided. Study #16-H-0144.

NICHD seeks healthy children 7 to 11 years old to join in a research study. Researchers want to learn if breaking up sitting with short periods of activity improves children's metabolism and attention. Six outpatient visits on consecutive days of about 3 hours each (Monday — Friday, early evening and Saturday morning). Compensation will be provided. Study #17-CH-0130.
