Clinical Center employees put their sneakers on for NIH Take a Hike Day

The 10th annual NIH Take a Hike Day took place June 8 on the Bethesda, Md. Campus. NIH staff walked and/or ran around the perimeter of the campus, a total distance of 3.25 miles. The event was sponsored by the NIH Office of Management in partnership with the Office of Research Services, Division of Amenities and Transportation Services, and the NIH Recreation and Welfare Association.

Members of the U.S. Public Health Services who work in the NIH Clinical Center joined the NIH Take a Hike Day. The group said "We're here to promote the Surgeon General's Call to Action – Step it up-Take the Stairs!"

From left to right, Shravya Raju, Alyssa Brooks, Leslie Wehrlen and Margaret Bevans. The women said, "This event brings the NIH Community together and incorporates wellness into the workplace."
