The NIH currently offers 18 medical specialty or subspecialty programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Through these programs, clinical fellows have the opportunity to work collaboratively and be mentored by world renowned physicians,  while participating directly in cutting-edge investigational protocols in the NIH Clinical Center and also rotate to some of the nation's finest academic medical centers within the metropolitan Washington, DC, region for additional clinical training.
