Volunteers Wanted for Clinical Research Study for EGID
Doctors at the National Institutes of Health are conducting a research study on eosinophil-associated gastrointestinal disorders (EGID). The purpose of this study is to learn more about how the immune system responds to food allergens and how the immune cells contribute to disease in individuals with food allergies and EGIDs.
If you are 18 to 65 years old with a history of food allergies, eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EG), or eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), please consider participating in this research study.
You are not eligible if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Are HIV positive
- Have hepatitis B or C, or anemia
The study involves at least two visits of about three hours each to the NIH Clinical Center, located on the Metro red line in Bethesda, Maryland. The Clinical Center, is America’s research hospital.
There is no cost for study-related procedures. Compensation may be provided.
