ANNOUNCER: Greetings and welcome to NIH Clinical Center Grand Rounds, recorded September 2nd, 2009 at America's Clinical Research Hospital, the Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, an agency of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Today, two speakers from the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Kathleen R. Merikangas, chief of the Genetic Epidemiology Research Branch at the NIMH will discuss "An Update on Mood Disorders: International Patters and Impact of Mood Disorders". She will be followed by Dr. Carlos A. Zarate, chief of the Mood Disorders Research Unit in the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program at the NIMH, who will give us "An Update on Drug Discovery and Treatment Biomarker Development in Mood Disorders at NIMH".
