Clinical Center New Employee Orientation

The NIH Clinical Center New Employee Orientation Program introduces all new employees working in the NIH Clinical Center, including federal employees, contractors, PHS Commissioned Corps officers, fellows, and volunteer staff, to our hospital's unique mission and culture. Participants develop a shared understanding of the guiding principles that foster excellence in clinical research, patient care, and administrative service delivery. To help ensure a successful on-boarding experience for all new employees, the half-day program satisfies initial competency training for Patient Safety, Emergency Procedures/Fire Safety, Infection Control/Universal Precautions/Preventing Tuberculosis/COVID-19 Safety, and Patient Confidentiality and Privacy, which meet Joint Commission standards, reviews initial NIH and CC online training requirements, and recommends key resources and strategies for transitioning into the organization.

Individuals who require an accommodation to participate in CC New Employee Orientation, contact 301-594-9548, or email ccnewemployeeorientation@cc.nih.gov, or TTY users, please call through the Federal Relay, 1-800-877-8339.
