Clinical Research Nurse Internships for New Graduates
Our Clinical Research Nurse Internships provide a challenging learning environment and give new nurse graduates time to become confident and experienced in specialty programs of care in a clinical research setting.

The internships are designed to provide the knowledge and support to transition new graduate nurses into the clinical research nurse role. Clinical research nurse interns provide and coordinate clinical care, study complex disorders with emphasis on the unique nursing needs of a particular patient population as well as the most current therapies and nursing interventions.

The internship programs combine group seminars, classroom instruction, and clinical observation and practice under the direction of clinical nurse specialists, educators and preceptors. Intramural teams collaborate to offer a curriculum which uses a variety of approaches to teach clinical research nursing concepts.

Interns will interact with nationally renowned research teams while developing an understanding of their role in the research process.   Visits to laboratories and clinical centers assist the interns in developing an understanding of the entire research trajectory.  The Internships include specialty  nursing course content, leadership and project management training, professional development activities and preparation to meet the requirements for national nursing certification.

Applications for these highly competitive internships are accepted through www.usajobs.gov
