To perform excellent basic and clinical research in the imaging sciences within the areas of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, Molecular Imaging, Image Processing as well as other areas of imaging sciences. To train Fellows in basic research skills and techniques in order to perform peer reviewed experimental and clinical studies, which will allow them to explore the advantages of translational based research studying normal and pathological conditions from the lab to the bedside which will ultimately result in highly motivated scientists returning to the academic community and successfully compete for grant support.

The LDRR offices and laboratory are located in the Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Center, Building 10. The offices and laboratory are networked to all imaging modalities in the Clinical Center, thereby allowing Fellows to process their data on workstations using the LDRR-developed Multimodality Radiological Image Processing System (MRIPS). The 3200-square-foot LDRR Laboratory is adjacent to the Diagnostic Radiology Department and provides bench research opportunities for Fellows. The Fellowship position is a full-time, one to four year appointment which includes benefits. The Fellows will have optional clinical responsibilities.
