RESOURCES & TECHNOLOGIES

The following are just a few of the resources and technologies available to Fellows for their research projects:
  • Four dedicated 1.5-Tesla MRI units
  • One 4.7-Tesla experimental animal MR unit
  • One 4-Tesla whole-body MRI unit
  • One 3-Tesla MRI unit for fMRI
  • Three helical CT units and one electron beam CT
  • Five ultrasound units with color Doppler/intravascular capabilities
  • Two dedicated surgical units with specialty probes for intraoperative imaging
  • Two biplane angiography suites
  • One high-sensitivity (0.01 degree C) infrared camera
  • Six SPECT gamma cameras
  • Two medical cyclotrons
  • Three PET tomographs
  • One high-resolution PET rodent scanner
