Bradford Wood, MD
Dr. Wood is an interventional radiologist in the Diagnostic Radiology Department at the Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health, with an affiliation with the National Cancer Institute. His research interests are image-guided oncology, tumor ablation with radiofrequency or electromagnetic energy, minimally-invasive tumor characterization, noninvasive thermometry, gene therapy delivery systems, electromechanically-activated drug delivery systems, and navigational systems for minimally-invasive procedures. He received his MD from the University of Virginia, did his radiology residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, and did abdominal and interventional radiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard University. In addition to the NIH, he also has academic appointments at Massachusetts General Hospital and at Georgetown University Medical Center.
He enthuses that his most important accomplishments, however, are his two cute boys.
