Peter L. Choyke, MD

Dr. Peter Choyke is a medical officer in radiology, Chief of Research Activity, and Chief of Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the Diagnostic Radiology Department, Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Choyke earned his bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He did an internship at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut, and a residency in diagnostic radiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Before coming to the NIH Clinical Center in 1987 as senior staff radiologist, Dr. Choyke was assistant, then associate, professor of radiology at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He has been chief of clinical MRI since 1992.

He has received the following awards and honors:
