Our research scientists are from the National
Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, (NIDDK),
and the Department of Transfusion Medicine, (DTM), at the National
Institutes of Health, (NIH). The NIH researchers are working with
obstetricians in the Washington Metropolitan Area to identify
women who are at risk of having a baby with sickle cell disease.
