Purpose/Goal: To evaluate and improve the quality of clinical consultative services provided to
Clinical Center patients and clinicians.
Scope: Scope of this project is limited to the evaluation of internal and external clinical
consultative services in the Clinical Center.

Barriers Lack of secure e-mail system or a comparable electronic system to deliver and
to Success: retrieve consult evaluations in a timely manner.
Resources: • 1 existing FTE
• Resources required for implementation of secure e-mail system or a comparable electronic system to deliver and retrieve consult evaluations in a timely manner
• All other resource requirements are available through existing programs
Timeline: Implementation of evaluation process Spring 2001
Outcomes: Development and implementation of an organizational process for systematically evaluating clinical consultative services in the CC.
>85% positive perception of clinical consultative services by CC patients and clinicians.
