Description

Protocol Maps are a translation of clinical research protocols into a descriptive, graphic format. Software has been purchased to computerize this translation and document against interdisciplinary activities of the protocol. The primary objective of the software is to create a robust strategic and financial planning tool for the CC.

Accomplishments-to-Date

  • Summer, 1996. Manual translation of protocols into maps begins.
  • December, 1998. Software chosen to computerize maps.
  • April 1998. Pilot for software begins. Steering Committee formed. Preliminary work plan approved.
  • April 1998. 387 protocols mapped manually to date -- 49%.

  • Complete pilot of Esphere software no later than December 15, 1999.
  • Present and plan for full implementation of Esphere to CC Director's Executive Committee no later than 12/1/99.
