Description

Issues associated with government ethics concerns are complex due to the existence
of various general and changing guidelines for specific situations, and sometimes conflicting precedents set by regulations, laws, and judicial decisions. These issues
must be dealt with in the context of NIH initiatives, ongoing work, as well as personal financial holdings.

Accomplishments-to-Date

  • Analysis of current program identified need for education, data systems, and redesign process for review of outside activity requests

FY2000 Goals

  • Appoint CC Ethics Coordinator
  • Provide comprehensive management of Ethics program in compliance with NIH Office of General Counsel guidelines
