Moderating the discussion is Dr. Peter Eichacker, a senior investigator with the Clinical Center's Critical Care Medicine Department.
Dr. Eichacker earned his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center and the Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, staying on there for a fellowship in pulmonary medicine.
He joined the CCMD staff in 1986 and has been with them ever
since. He heads the Critical Care Medicine Section and the Vascular
Access Device Service. He is also an associate clinical professor
of medicine at George Washington University.
