Biosketch

Dr. McKeeby’s federal career began in the Medical Record Department while he completed his doctorate in computer science at George Washington University. He went on to head development and web teams for the CC’s information systems department, which eventually split into the Department of Networks and Applications and the Department of Clinical Research Informatics.

McKeeby led the development and implementation of interfaces between MIS, the CC’s original medical information system, and CRIS for other key information systems, including radiology, hospital statistics, nutrition, and surgery.

Since 2005 Dr. McKeeby has taught several courses in Kaplan University’s Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Information Technology Program as an adjunct assistant professor as well at the Masters of Science in Information Technology at the University of Maryland University College.

Honors and Awards

Dr. McKeeby has received four team Clinical Center Director’s Awards for his work on SACRED, an automated credentialing system; PACSweb implementation; CRIS implementation; DTI Implementation.  An individual Clinical Center Director’s Award for his contributions to the CC.  He has shared two NIH Director’s team award for intramural protocol data-management services and the CC Travel Team.
